Justice and Mercy (JAM) Community Integrated Project was born from the compassion of two British women who saw the struggles of the less fortunate and dared to dream of a brighter future for them. What began as a humble holiday club for children orphaned by HIV and AIDS has since blossomed into a transformative force, empowering rural farmers, widows, youth, and marginalized groups across four sub-counties—Rachuonyo North, Rachuonyo South, Rachuonyo East, and Rangwe.

JAM’s mission is rooted in sustainable, people-driven development. Through food security programs, the organization trains farmers in organic and agro-ecological farming, ensuring families have nutritious food while preserving the environment. For women and widows burdened by economic hardship, JAM provides livelihood support, helping them build resilience and financial independence. The organization also stands as a pillar of health, offering integrated HIV/AIDS care, prevention, and psychosocial support to those often left behind.

Education is another cornerstone of JAM’s work. By supporting orphans and vulnerable children with school fees, mentorship, and counseling, the organization opens doors to knowledge and opportunity. Beyond direct aid, JAM amplifies voices through advocacy, pushing for policies that uplift the marginalized. With a commitment to evidence-based solutions, the team conducts research, strengthens monitoring systems, and forges partnerships with donors and government agencies to expand its impact.

Today, JAM is more than a Community Based Organization—it is a movement. A movement that turns despair into dignity, hunger into harvest, and isolation into inclusion. Every farmer trained, every child educated, and every life saved is a testament to the power of justice and mercy in action. As JAM continues to grow, its vision remains unwavering: a Homa Bay where every individual, no matter their circumstances, can thrive.

To facilitate the realisation of better living standards and dignity among targeted populations within the community.

 •
These values guide all of JAM's efforts to ensure the underserved benefit from sustainable programs that create lasting positive change.
